Adelaide scanning specialist Practical Programs expects
a massive surge in sales after a campaign to distribute its
world-leading scanning software in Europe.
During eight days at the gigantic CeBIT trade fair in Hanover,
Germany, Practical Programs CEO, Richard Bates, started negotiations
with 19 companies to distribute its DataViewer software throughout
Europe.
DataViewer simplifies the ability of any organisation to
manage large-format scanned documents. The latest version
of the software allows access to scans as large as 500Mb
via the internet.
IT&T industry growth imitative Playford Centre which
has just received a $10 million vote of confidence from
the Federal Government Building on IT Strengths (BITS)
program, has provided Practical Programs with ongoing
assistance in product development. market research and
promotional activity to commercialise DataViewer.
The company has also received assistance from the Business
Centre.
The company founder, Mr Bates said the distribution deals
would take the company to its next level of growth.
?Our revenue will increase ... with access to huge European
markets," he said. "We will be hiring extra
staff and opening a European office within the next six
months."
